The journalist was found guilty for cooperation with the foreign media without accreditation, in particular for taking a photograph at the entrance to her home on October 4, when Eduard Ulasyuk, a member of the Mackowski police department in Brest, presented a summons to her husband and colleague, Ales Levchuk. Milana Kharytonava decided not to participate in the trial because she considers the case to be politically motivated.
