The father of the blogger Magomed Mirzaliev, who left Azerbaijan for France, was arrested by police in Azerbaijan. Police demanded that his son delete critical Facebook posts. He was told that if this did not happen, other relatives of the blogger would also be brought to the police. Mirazliev's father was released after an official warning. His brother in law, Elman Agaev, who regularly criticises the Azerbaijani government and other political figures, was also taken to police. Later, Agaev was imprisoned for 30 days for not obeying the police's demands.
