The Magas District Court in Ingushetia sentenced Magomed Khazbiyev, editor-in-chief of the Ingushetia.org website, to two years and 11 months in an open prison, as well as a fine of 50,000 roubles. Khazbiyev was found guilty of "inciting hatred" against the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, local authorities, and the law enforcement system. He was also found guilty of illegally possessing of weapons. After being detained on January 11 in Nazran, he was held in a special unit of a detention centre; in solitary confinement and under video surveillance.
