On May 18th, while filming the material about a demonstration by the Youth Resource Centre, "Rika TV" correspondent Lyazzat Sakieva addressed senior inspector Farkat Dosmuratov of the state inspectorate for the protection of the historical and cultural heritage of the Aktobe region. In an interview, she asked to repeat what had been said in Russian to the Kazakh-speaking audience. Dosmuratov refused to answer the request, saying that he is not very interested in explaining the topic to a Russian-speaking audience. In response, the journalist says: "Does that mean then that you already have "Nazism"?" After that, a large wave of indignation arose on Kazakh-speaking social media."Concerned citizens" made a statement to the Prosecutor General's Office. Their application was forwarded to the police station of the Ilek district police department of Aktobe. A criminal case was opened "on the fact" of Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
