Larysa Shchyrakova was threatened that her family will be taken under control as socially disadvantaged, as well as to remove the child from the family. The threats were made on the basis of numerous administrative fines she recieved for cooperating with the foreign media without the accreditation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
