Aleksandra Terikova, a journalist with the local Nizhnevartovsk TV channel “N1”, was fired after she told the TV channel "TV Rain" about a performance by pupils in a local kindergarten, where they sang a song called "Uncle Vova [Putin], we’re with you”. As Terikova herself told "TV Rain", she was called by the director general of her channel and told about the dismissal. According to the journalist, he said that with such political ambitions, she could go to work with the channel she gave the interview to. Konstantin Shcherbina, who produced programmes on the channel, was also fired.
