A criminal case on the trafficking of child pornography was opened against Chuvash blogger Konstantin Ishutov. The blogger was detained for 48 hours under Part 2 of Article 242.1 of the Criminal Code. Investigators asked to place the blogger in a pre-trial detention centre, but the judge refused to do so.
