Saule Omirbaeva, director of the station for young tourists in the Turkestan region, filed a lawsuit with the Abai District Court of Shymkent to protect her honour, dignity and business reputation against Kairat Karibaev, a journalist with the "Panorama Shymkent" newspaper. The reason for the lawsuit was a Facebook post published by the journalist on December 16th 2018. Because of this post, Saule Omirbaeva wants to collect one million tenge from the journalist through the court, and is also requesting a rebuttal. The first hearing was postponed to 5th April at the request of the defendant's lawyer .
