In July, two independent journalists, Izolda Agaeva and Islam Shikhali were summoned to the general prosecutor's investigative department for serious crimes. The journalists gave evidence in the criminal case of the journalist Afgan Mukhtarly, who had been brought into Azerbaijan from Georgia.
