On November 1, 2019, Islam Nukhanov, who has hearing and visual disabilities, was kidnapped in Grozny after posting a video on YouTube entitled "How Kadyrov and his associates live. Part 1." Nukhanov filmed fences and palaces in the centre of Grozny on his dashboard camera. In prison, the vlogger was beaten and tortured. Officially, Nukhanov is charged with the illegal possession of weapons and the use of violence against a police officer.
