Gulnar Baktybay, a resident of the Irgiz district, filed a claim with the Aktobe City Court for the protection of her honour, dignity and business reputation and compensation for moral damage. The defendants are the editorial board of the weekly Kerek.info, the editor-in-chief, Kereev and Aktobe region resident Aamangos Izashula. The plaintiff claims that information presented in the article is false and demands to oblige the defendants to refute the information and to compensate for the moral damage inflicted in the amount of 1.5 million tenge (500,000 per defendant). On July 26th, the court dismissed the claim due to non-compliance with the pre-trial settlement procedure.
