A police officer with the rank of Colonel and two people in plain clothes detained the journalist on the street under the pretext of checking documents. During verification of the Russian citizen's documents, it became clear that Mikhailov's registrationhad expired. Such a violation usually involves the payment of a fine of 10,000 soms (about 8,400 rubles). However, Mikhailov was told that due to changes in regulations, it is the duty of the police to accompany citizens to the border point to re-enter the territory of the country and update registration when such violations are identified. At the same time, the police officers offered to go to the journalist's home and tried to get into the apartment, asked questions about the members of the editorial team, the working methods of the information agency REGNUM, and asked his opinion on the main political events in the country.
