On the 3rd of June the Tbilisi Appelate Court instructed Irakli Shiolashvili, the former governor of Kakheti and current member of parliament for the Georgian Dream party, to publically admit damaging the reputation of journalist Gela Mtivlishvili. Shiolashvili had tried to bribe Mitvlishvili to stop her publishing an investigation into the illegal dealing of his family, which she then did on the 22nd of April 2015.
