In January journalists were prevented from performing their professional activities while collecting materials from a march held in connection with the arrested blogger Mekhman Guseinov. A number of journalists - Sevinj Vagifgizi, Nurlan Gakhramanly, Afgan Sadygov and Farid Abdinov - were arrested and taken to police facilities. The journalists said that they were treated rudely and their professional equipment was confiscated.
