On the 10th of October a camera crew from the TV channel Rustavi 2 was attacked. Journalist Eka (Ekaterine Gagua) and cameraman Levan Kalandia were hit. The attackers were workers in the 23rd bureau of a Chinese railway company in Georgia. The journalists were preparing a report on irregularities in the construction of a new railway. While filming, a representative from the Chinese company took the camera from the journalist and tried to delete footage, and had equipment confiscated.
