Arsen Khachaturyan threatened a journalist. "Arsen threatened me many times," said Dina Karpitskaya, a journalist and former MK employee. “He knows my face, he's seen it in the courts and on TV shows. He and his family clearly didn't like me protecting girls. The first time the angry family attacked me last summer was behind the scenes of one of the TV shows. They shouted, called me a bitch and a prostitute – I kept a video as evidence. The second time was in Moscow City Court, when Khachaturyan challenged the measure of restraint used against the girls, hoping that they would be returned to the pre-trial detention centre."
