On the 25th of January unknown gunmen opened fire into the windows of the flat of David Eradze, a journalist for the television channel Rustavi 2. The managing director of the channel Nika (Nikoloz) Gvaramia called the event an "armed attack", linking the incident with the professional work of Eradze.
