In December the chief editor of the newspaper "Khural", Avaz Zeinally, was arrested by police without explanation. The detainment of the journalist took place after a critical report from a region of Baku. Having spent a day in police custody, the journalist was later summoned to court for disobeying police orders. He was fined 200 manat.
