Bikom Realty LLP, which includes several real estate companies, appealed to the district court No. 2 of the Almaty district of Astana with a demand to prosecute for libel (point 1, part 2, article 130 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan). Askar Japarov was found not guilty of criminal misconduct under Article 130 part 2 of the Criminal Code and acquitted for unproven guilt.
