KGB officers searched the apartment of journalist Andrei Shobin. As a result, computers, videotapes, disks and floppy disks were seized. After the search, Andrei was taken for interrogation to the KGB, where he was notified that he is a witness in the criminal case. The criminal case concerned people who disseminated satirical cartoons on the Internet "defaming the honour and dignity of the President of Belarus."
