A correspondent for a Urals-based news site spoke out about threats made against them, which came after a report on the conflict around parking spaces in Yekaterinburg’s Oktyabrsky District. Police and prosecutors’ threats followed over the phone. According to the correspondent, callers were especially concerned about a former detective who local residents believe is behind the arbitrary creation of paid parking spaces in their community.
