The criminal case against four journalists - Abdraman Turmaganbetov, Bagila Kadyrbaeva, Anarkul Suleyeva and Khabidina Rakhmanberdieva - has begun in the Al-Farabi district court of Shymkent. They are accused of kidnapping, distributing pornographic materials, and hooliganism. According to i nvestigators, back in 2016, the three journalists and public figure, in order to compromise a rural Mullah, gave him drinks that were laced w ith clofelin (a powerful sleeping pill) and kept him in a rented apartment.
