In May Anar Mammadov, site manager of "criminal.az", was summoned to the Baku city prosecutor over his articles. In the prosecutor's office he was questioned for almost 2 hours. According to the journalist, his summons were linked to his articles about the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR. Mammadov remarked that "the main point of the whole discussion was not to write about SOCAR". The journalist was given an official warning in connection with his articles. Mammadov was summoned four times in one year to the interior ministry's directorate against organised crime. Private conversations were held with him in connection with his articles.
