On October 5th, Aliya Sadyrbaeva, a public figure and chairman of Atameken's Karaganda Region Businesswomen's Council, posted on her personal Facebook account expressing her opinion on the statements of a number of state officials concerning rising prices being due to the tacit consent of Kazakhs. On 8th October, she reported that, following the publication of the previous post, she had received a call from Atameken and asked to resign as Chairman of the Businesswomen's Council.
