Moscow's Meshchansky court arrested the Muslim blogger Alibek Mirzekhanov for two months on suspicion of recruiting terrorists. Initially Mirzekhanov was detained on suspicion of a mass brawl near the capital's Neolit cafe. However, he had been cleared of any suspicion over that incident. His brother said that in the morning about twenty law enforcement officers broke into the apartment where Mirzekhanov lived, put him on the floor and beat him. The apartment was searched, all equipment was seized, and then the detainee was taken to an unknown destination.
