On the 18th of November, Giorgi Volskiy, one of the leaders of the governing Georgian Dream party publicly insulted journalists from the television channel Mtavari Arkhi, calling it "not a television channel, just a get-together". Protests outside parliament reignited after fourty members of parliament for the party refused to uphold constitutional changes. The opposition picketed the entrance to parliament, after which authorities, with the help of riot police, dispersed protesters.
