On the 12th September, Channel One's server for public broadcasting in Georgia suffered a cyber attack. As a result of the attack, a virus spread through the station's systems, encoding and destroying important files on the server. Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs started to investigate the incident under Part 1 of Article 284 and Part 1 of Article 286 of the Georgian Criminal Code.
