On the 19th of March activists from the nationalist movement Georgian March protested outside the headquarters of the television channel Rustavi 2, demanding a public apology from the presenter of its programme P.S., Giorgi Gabunia. The protesters believed his words on the programme on the 18th of March were offensive to Orthodox Christians. The activists blocked a car with Gabunia and the television company's lawyer Tamta Muradashvili inside and insulted them. Gvaramia, the channel's managing director, warned Georgian authorities that if they do not punish the actions of protesters, then the Georgian March movement controls them.
