On the 16th of December authorities barred journalists from covering the inauguration of the re-elected president Salome Zourabichvili in the town of Telavi in Kakheti. Journalists were only allowed to watch the ceremony on a screen. The government administration informed press that entry to the ceremony was only to be granted to Zourabichvili's personal photographer.
