On the 15th of June, plans to close two programmes on the Georgian Public Broadcaster's TV station ("Red Zone" and "Inter VIEW") were made public. The programmes were broadcast in cooperation with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL). Leading Georgian non-governmental organisations published a statement in which they claim the motivation for closing the highly rated programmes was their criticism of the government.
