A number of foreign TV channels had their registration certificates revoked and their retransmission on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan stopped. To date, the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan has registered 307 foreign TV and radio channels. Of these, 219 opened their representative offices, and 88 did not.
