Considering the publication as evidence of the newspaper's recognition of the invalidity of the published information, the petrol station "NEFTEK" appealed to the Specialised Inter-District Economic Court with a claim for recognition of the information as untrue and defamatory to the owner's business reputation against the owner and publisher of "Uralsk Week", "Journalist's Initiative" LLP, "Press Week" LLP and editor Lukpan Akhmedyarov. The plaintiff demanded to oblige the defendants to refute the information and to compensate for the lost profit of 2 million, 939,032 tenge. The court granted the petrol station's claim in full.
