On February 5th, the City Court of Almaty held preparations for a court hearing on a lawsuit to protect the honour and dignity of the director of the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Dilyara Kaidarova, against the owner and staff of the newspaper "Public Position." The plaintiff demanded a retraction, a public apology and 10 million tenge in compensation for moral harm. Earlier, Dilara Kaidarova had filed a motion to seize the property of the defendants in order to secure the claim. The court denied the motion.
