On June 24th a film crew from the "Khabar 24" TV channel covered a gathering of residents in the town of Arys near the Ak Mosque. The Arys residents were demanding a meeting with the head of the region, Umirzak Shukeyev. An unidentified man, seeing the cameraman, began to push him and shout profanities at him. Nurmakhan Musatov nearly dropped the camera but did not stop filming. The indignant man demanded that the cameraman stop filming and again tried to use force. Seeing the police, the man fled the scene.
