In the summer of 2019, the anonymous TV channel “Tovarishch Mayor” (Comrade Major) published the data of around 3000 people, including those detained at protests in Moscow on July 27 and August 3. The database contained the passport details and telephone numbers of four MediaZona journalists – three of them had given their passport numbers to police before protests on August 3. Also on the list are journalists from Radio Liberty, Meduza, MBK Media, Takie Dela, The Village and TV Rain. Some of them were detained during the protests at the beginning of June in support of journalist Ivan Golunov.
