The administrative case on charges of extremism with homophobic rhetoric was opened after the Republican Expert Commission on Information Products found signs of extremism in the publications of the newspaper Vecherniy Mogilev. The trial began in July 2019. After several sessions, breaks and new examinations, the court took the side of the newspaper and came to the conclusion that there were no signs of homophobia in the articles.
