Roskomnadzor expressed concern that the news site abnews.ru violated media laws by failing to indicate on July 17 of the previous year that that the Jehovah’s Witnesses were a banned organisation in Russia. The news agency and its employees face a fine (4000-5000 roubles for officials, 40,000-50,000 for the legal entity) along with "the forfeiture of the subject of the administrative offence."
