On June 27, the lawyers Gevorg Mkrtchyan, Vrezh Khachikyan, Simon Babayan and Arsen Harutyunyan filed a total of 16 lawsuits to Yerevan Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative district courts of general jurisdiction against “News AM” Ltd, the owner of “News.am” site, demanding they retract allegedly slanderous statements and to pay compensation for emotional damage. Five out of the 16 cases were taken to court on June 29, six on June 30, and five on July 3.
