On February 11, the NGO "New Generation" filed a lawsuit to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the newspaper Hraparak Daily seeking a retraction of allegedly slanderous statements and compensation of AMD 500 thousand. The reason for the lawsuit was an article entitled "LGBT forum will still take place" published on December 3, 2018. On April 10, the case was accepted for court proceedings. On September 9, the court decided not to pursue the case any furhter after the plaintiff did not attend two consecutive hearings and failed to set a motion for its continuation, and ordered the NGO to pay AMD 200,000 to the newspaper to cover legal fees.
