At least 43 media workers were detained by security officials on October 11, while they were covering protests against the results of the presidential election. The journalist was detained during the day in the city center and taken to the police department «to check the documents». There he was drawn up an administrative report for alleged disobedience to the police (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). His video equipment was confiscated until the trial, and he was held in the department for about 10 hours, after which he was released.
