On December 1, there was another wave of searches of flats of journalists and human rights activists in Belarus. Siarhei Nyarouny had two searches conducted: in the flat where he lives and in the flat of his mother. In the first case, the officers seized several digital media, documents, and notebooks, while they did not find anything to take from his parents’ flat. After the searches, the journalist was taken away for interrogation as a witness in the criminal case. Nyarouny cannot give details — he was given a non-disclosure undertaking.
