The court considered the administrative case of the journalist without her presence, found her guilty, and arrested for seven days on the basis of a police report. The journalist was detained by the police on November 15, while she was covering a protest against the results of the presidential election and the violence of the law enforcers. She was taken to the police department «to check the documents», there, her professional equipment was confiscated and a report for participation in an unauthorized event was drawn up on her (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus).
