Relatives of Shohida Mamadjonova, mother of the Tajik blogger Sherzod Mamadjonov, who lives in Germany, claimed that on February 3 she was summoned to the Vahdat police department. She did not return home. Her whereabouts are unknown. Sherzod told Radio Ozodi on February 4 that his mother had most likely been detained by law enforcement authorities. «Last month, investigators took away her mobile phone during questioning. On February 2, my mother received a call and was told that she could take her mobile phone. Yesterday, she went to take the phone and did not return. More than 30 hours have passed and there is no information about her whereabouts. My father went to the police station and was told she was not at the police station», – the blogger said. Sherzod said his mother was called in for questioning twice in January by the police in Vahdat. According to the blogger, it is clear that the authorities, by putting pressure on his relatives in Tajikistan, want to force him to return.
