On the 24th of September, 'Asia Plus' published an article on Dushanbe resident Dzhamshed Aminov's complaint regarding illegal supplementary fees at his son's school Lycee No. 5. The Prosecutor's office confirmed the veracity of the claims, and recommended taking disciplinary measures against the headmaster. Before publication, on the 20th of September, journalist Shakhnoz Alizoda visited the school in order to seek comment from the headmaster Bibisafiya Narzievaya, but she refused to cooperate and told security to prevent the journalist from entering. Alizoda then asked the security guard to phone the headmaster's deputy, Faizal Sadikov. Sadikov refused to speak and hung up. While trying to take a photo of the school building, Alizoda overheard Sadikov shouting 'You have no right to take photos, delete the photo, you illiterate swine!'
