On November 11, the Mirabad District Criminal Court of Tashkent arrested Instagram blogger Sevinch Sadullayeva for five days. The complaint, in fact a denunciation, was written by Nodira Umarova, deputy hokim of Tashkent, the head of the Department of Family and Women. The court applied Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Offences (hooliganism). According to the court’s verdict, 20-year-old Sevinch «deliberately ignored the rules of conduct in society and violated public order, which caused justified complaints from citizens». The court ignored Article 29 of the same code, under which administrative arrest cannot be applied to women who have children under the age of three. The convicted woman has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. In two years, 310 thousand users subscribed to Sevinch Sadullayeva on Instagram. The official promised that in the future the blogger will be taught a profession, employed and assigned corrective work by a psychologist.
