On June 13, the Corruption Prevention Commission and the Chairperson of this department Haykuhi Arutyunyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the founder of the news website Infocom.am, NGO Information Committee, as well as the editor-in-chief of the online media Sevak Mamyan, and the journalists Mkrtich Karapetyan and Katya Mamyan, demanding to publicly refute the information considered libel. The reason for the lawsuit was the article «Family members of the Corruption Prevention Commission Chairman don’t submit income declarations for two years, investigation is not initiated» published on the mentioned website on May 6. Before going to court, the Commission sent the text of a refutation to the editorial office, but the media refused to publish it. The lawsuit is being considered.
