Additional information:

In Kasimov, Ryazan region, a magistrate’s court will hear for the third time the criminal case of vandalism (Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against blogger Sergey Skoreyev and journalist Sergey Yerzhenkov. The case was initiated in April: according to the investigation, Skoreyev wrote anti-Putin inscriptions on the Lenin monument, while Yerzhenkov filmed it. In August, the court fined each of them RUB 15,000, then the prosecutor’s office appealed this decision, and after the case was dropped again on October 5, filed another appeal. The investigation believes that Yerzhenkov and Skoreyev acted on the grounds of political hatred and as a sign of «disagreement with the special military operation in Ukraine». According to Yerzhenkov, the inscription was made to draw attention to the «deplorable condition» of the cultural heritage objects in the city.
