The Perovo District Court of Moscow fined the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Sergey Sokolov RUB 30,000 under the article on «discrediting» the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Employees of the Centre for Combating Extremism detained Sokolov and took him to the police station to draw up a report, and then took him to court. The reason was a publication from December in Novaya Gazeta’s Telegram channel about the recruitment of orphans for war.
