A magistrate’s court in the Kasimovsky district of the Ryazan region imposed 8 months of restricted freedom each on documentary filmmaker Sergey Yerzhenkov and blogger Sergey Skoreyev. During this term, they will be forbidden to change jobs and leave without authorisation the city where they live. They were found guilty of vandalism (Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for allegedly spray-painting the Lenin monument in Kasimov with water-emulsion paint in the spring of 2022 with the inscription «Putin, we are fucking sick of you, go away». The case has already been heard several times, in August and October 2022, the courts dismissed it and imposed court fines, but these decisions were appealed by the prosecutor’s office each time.
