On December 29, the Specialised Court for Administrative Offences of Karaganda accepted the case against Ratel.kz journalist Sergey Perkhalsky. Head of the Construction Department of the Abay District A. Askarov demands to bring the journalist to administrative responsibility for defamation. According to Askarov, in five publications — documentary investigations of transactions on the purchase of 60 flats under the state programme Nurly Zher for half a billion tenge — the journalist spread knowingly false information about him.
